Hi,

This morning I heard fox noise and I went to my garden and saw the fox has killed my rabbit.
The fox ran away and the rabbit is died.
My question is, is the rabbit still eatable? I am worried if the fox bite will contaminate rabbit meat?
But I don’t want to waste the meat.

Thanks!

Processing an animal for human consumption is done in a certain way as to drain the blood from the carcass. Your rabbit was killed by fox, so the blood is not drained from the body. It is the equivalent of roadkill.
I would not consume it unless it was a matter of survival.
The bite, I'm not sure what cooties it may have infused into the flesh. I would personally avoid it myself.
Sorry for your loss.:hugs With all dignity, I would bury that rabbit and return to Earth with respect. Cremating also is a way to show respect.
WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:

It won't hurt you. In years past, game was hung but not necessarily bled out.
