Today is such a lovely day for many reasons. While out doing farm chores, we might as well sit outside and have a cup of tea. Infused roses are a great addition with fruit.
Stop and smell the roses. It will bring you a smile.

We miss the sight of that sauguaro, but enjoy our Arabian lilac tree-bush that now gives us a privacy wall from the street. Part of our mission is helping the wildlife, and this Arabian lilac doesn't disappoint. Hummingbirds love the nectar. It's an evergreen that provides deep shade and does well in our native soil. You can place it closer to your 🏡 to protect the sun from bearing down, as this plant loves full sun. Thus you'll save $ on utilities by keeping a cooling system near and around a building.
Come prepared to take home cuttings for National Arbor Day. Check our website for details ✨️ Gardenexchangestands.org

Do you have guests or going to a holiday gathering? If so, make a unique side dish.
🥀 Calendula and/or rose floral infused butter with 🍞 sourdough bread.

🌤 Slightly warm up 1/4 cup of butter on the stove.
🥄 Add 1-2 teaspoons of dried or fresh calendula or rose. Stir and allow it to stay warm for 30 minutes or longer for a stronger flavor... warm, not boiling.
🧂 Add a pinch of salt while it is infusing.
🌡 Serve warm or room temperature.

From December 2016, February 2017 to 2025, our Seed Library and Garden Stand as seen some fun changes. Emily, our sweet older German Shepherd, is still out helping in the garden. While Trinity, our mascot, watches the people as they visit our location.
Happy planting gardening friends! The Seed Libraries and Garden Stands are shared spaces and a community service for all. As a collective, we are creating a larger food sovereignty network with our locations. #germanshepherd #blueheeler #gardening #lovewhereyoulive #growyourownfood #food #sovereignty

Some of y'all know the host Melody Bertolozzi, who runs the Bario Garden, is moving.
7th Avenue
Tucson, Arizona 85701 U.S.A.

She goes above and beyond to share at other locations, helps with the events, is active on social media, so the public is in the know. Melody is willing to help with the flyer and signage and will be there for you when needed.
It is people like this who make a difference in the world!
So many of us are grateful for her kindness, time, and always willing to serve as she helps the mission in bringing back gardening culture.
We will miss her presence here in Arizona, but we can't wait to see what she does in the next city she moves to. Thank you, Melody, for everything!
Check out the link in the comments and read all about her.
