I was wondering if FBCM hens start laying light eggs, then they get dark?? my lady just started laying about a week or less ago, and they started out as pinkish but now are having spots and a bit darker, but not by much. is that normal?

Where did you get your Marans? Depending on where you got them will determine if they will lay dark eggs or not.
A local chick seller. my wife really wanted FBCM and McMurray was sold out at the time so we got some from then. we originally had 3 but two chicks died, and when we asked where they sourced their chicks from, they didn't say...which that was a red flag for me so we stopped buying there amd got chicks from TSC (Hoover Hatcheries). next chick season, we'll definitely only get from McMurray.

Those are still dark enough for French Black Copper Maran eggs. Some will lay the super dark chocolate and some regular brown. However, not all will lay the dark chocolate eggs that they always have pictured to grab your attention. That is only a possibility. Here is a Maran egg color chart. A French Black Copper can lay anywhere from #5-#8.

They may not lay dark eggs like you see on google because they most likely came from a hatchery. Most hatcheries breed for quantity not quality.
The only way I could tell you that you could for sure getting dark laying Marans is to buy them from a reliable breeder.
