Hope all is well with you and your family. I don't get up to Citrus Co. very much anymore. Lots of family responsibilities hold me here at home a lot. I have not shown chickens or been to the Lake City show in several years, unfortunately. I miss going and seeing you folks. I have not been on BYC much in a long time, but I am trying to get back on and checking things out - wow, a lot has changed on here!

Hi,
I am in Sebring. I will get a pic in the morning after church. I am not sure what Frillbacks sell for, I bought these last year for $40.00
I thought that was a high price, but I will take $30.00 for them. Can anyone tell me what the going rate is for Frillbacks?

I only have jacs and swallows, so not sure but I assume it depends on pet or show quality and color. A friend of mine got his for $8, but he seems to have the ability to "steal" things. Lol. You're price is likely more representative of what they run, but hopefully someone else will weigh in. Looking forward to pics. What color are they?

It depends on the quality of the bird and the color as stated.
If your colors aren't "pure" the price will be reduced, anyone who shows will not want a blue bred to a red offspring. The grizzled birds need to conform to show standards. The intensities of the color and sheen also taken into consideration.
The width of curl, stiffness, coverage and size of curl (structure) is of huge consideration so it all depends on the bird as to the worth.
$40.00 is a fair price for a decent bird.

Hi Kresge,
I am not sure of the heritage or quality of these birds. I don't know what the standards are for frillbacks. Here is a pic of the parents and the first set of youngsters they raised, these 4 are for sale. This pic was taken just a few minutes ago. They have another set of babies that are just weaned, I am considering selling them also.



Hoping some folks with better knowledge than I can tell us about the quality of these birds.
