Frustrated about the availability of chicks

The only hatchery I’ve seen with any availability right now is mt healthy. They’re a few weeks out on most breeds they carry.

It's the egg prices, people are panicking or they think it will be cheaper (lol) to raise chickens than to buy eggs.
I'm Glad I order December.
They sell out within an hour here.
Of course, in 4/5 months, we'll have a nice assortment of stated pullets available.

That's exactly what my father in law told me. He said wait you will find ready to lay pullets if a few months...

I actually ended up getting lucky and getting some today.. not all the breeds or colors I wanted but good breeds and they will replenish my flock. Which was my goal...

I also don't hatch anymore ( sadly because I love hatching my own) but for several years the stock sale stopped selling chickens and not it's impossible to sell or get rid of roos. I am a softy and hate to cull them...
