I am new to quail, but I have seen alot of people on here say that they can't fry quail eggs sunny side up or over easy because the yolk busts. I don't have a quail egg cutter, but I have been using a butter knife to crack the egg near the point of it. Then I just peel the top off and pour the egg into a small bowl. I don't actually put them in the skillet until I have four or five in the bowl. This makes for a nicer fried egg because if I just poured each one into the hot skillet they would thin out too much and over cook.
This is just my way, and like I said-I'm new. So, there is probably some better ways, I just saw a lot of people seem to have trouble with it so I decided to put my two-cents in lol. We've been eating fried quail eggs no problem though. I've busted one yolk out of about 20 or so fried eggs.
