We put up the shade cloth today to see how it’ll work, I think it’ll do fine. I need to get some wire or cordage to provide support underneath so it doesn’t sag, but not bad for half recycled stuff.

Rearranged the area in the shade garden where I put the food and water, done for today. I’ll get the compost stuff done when it’s cool next week, I’m in shorts and a tank top today and it’s warm in the sun.

Thank you Janie, it was expected soon and the kids (Igor and his remaining sister) were well prepared for it. Dementia is such a nasty thing.

I watered the veggies today and then we went grocery shopping. I got some good deals on a beef roast, a couple of steaks and some beef that people use in chicken fried steak, I forget what it’s called. Dogs got a trip to the P A R K and are sufficiently tired for getting chores done without them being under foot. Igor went to get milk and the creamer he uses for his coffee and I’m sitting on my butt doing nothing at the moment. I may make a batch of Mississippi pot roast for dinner in the pressure cooker. Leftovers from that are so good on a toasted bun the next day. If Igor finds any good deals on chicken I’m going to water bath can some tomorrow. One more week and then we can start trimming all the shrubs and put down some grass seed.
