Possible new rooster

Choice #2 and my preference. I think I’ll name him Casper. No timeline on arrival yet. DIL has lots of roosters and they all need homes. It’s probably prudent to have a rooster to replenish the flock just in case. This guy knows he can’t chase ducks.

They're both nice looking boys.

I don’t know what’s up with onions lately, but almost all of them are about at the end of their storage life and have several hard layers on the outside when I buy them. And some are spoiling pretty quickly. I bought some sweet onions yesterday to go with some yellow I had that needed to get used asap and am making onion broth. This will simmer all day and then I’ll can it tomorrow. It makes excellent gravy, either from scratch or in place of water with those instant gravy mixes.

For some reason we’ve had a tub of vanilla frosting sitting in our pantry. Nobody remembers buying it and it’s not something we would normally purchase. I kept it around to find a use for it and it’s finally getting to the expiration date. Our daughter told me to mix it with peanut butter and make fudge so we are giving that a try. It’s just a tub of the frosting and 18 ounces of peanut butter melted together in the nuker. The things people come up with 💡

I had to look up what vanilla frosting is. I probably shouldn't have because now I'm going to make some and try the peanut butter fudge. Sugar and fat, I'm sure I'm supposed to be keeping an eye on my intake.

Let me help you 🤭

We have five people here and two more that drop by in a regular basis right now so I don’t have to worry about having it around long.

We want to try it with chocolate frosting too.

I'm going to make my own.

What weight was the tub of frosting?
Do you blend the ingredients before "nuking" ? I assume you mean cooking in a microwave oven (?)
How long do you nuke it for?

The tub of frosting was 16 ounces. I put it all together in a glass bowl and microwaved in one minute intervals, stirring after each time, until it’s thin enough to mix well and pour into the pan to cool. Grease your pan or use parchment paper. After it has cooled to room temp stick it in the fridge.
