Gapeworm? Something else?

A raccoon got into our coop almost exactly one month ago. Matilda is the sole survivor of the attack, but is still healing from wounds on her butt and under her wing. She has been eating and drinking normally up until about 2-3 days ago when she began making a honking/hiccuping noise while eating or drinking. I have a video of the noise below. She will also gape at times and make a prolonged noise but I haven’t been able to catch it on video. She’s been indoors living in our spare bath since the attack with some supervised outside time while we build her a new coop. Any idea what this could be?

I'm sorry for your loss.

The wrapping around her, is it pressing on the crop? That may be while she's behaving like she is.

I'd check that and see that her crop is emptying overnight.

Are her wounds healing?

Thank you for your reply! We do make sure nothing is pressing on her crop and I check every morning to see if it’s emptying, which it does appear to be emptying just fine. Her wounds are healing wonderfully, aside from a few attempts at picking. She even has new feathers coming in on her butt.
I checked in this morning and she was eating with no issue but “hiccuped” once while drinking just as she did in the video. Her behavior otherwise is fine, not lethargic at all and enjoys her outside time!

Birds with gapeworm dont eat nor drink because they are too busy trying to breathe to stay alive.

Try raising her water dish up higher on a block or something. See if she still makes the hiccup.

When she’s inside, the water dish is raised up and she still does it then unfortunately she ate a runny egg with no issues this morning but continues hiccuping mostly on water
