After a few days of struggling, last night my bantam 15 year old chicken Smoky pooped out something oblong, about 3/4 of an inch long and a half inch wide at the fullest part, that looks a lot like a snail shell (it’s not a snail, but it has two pointy ends and a little bit of a rotational spiral shape). It is pinkish yellow in color. It could be an ancient malformed egg, or it could be something else like a parasite cyst.
Now that she’s pooped that out, she’s acting normal again.
I should mention she’s been indoors in an enclosed space since last October, so it’s nothing she has eaten recently. (She has been indoors due to her age- she is unable to regulate her body temperature anymore).
Anyone seen anything like this before?
