One of my Largefowl Silkie Hens suddenly kicked the bucket this morning. Will be doing a necropsy on her in a bit. She has a bit of a prolapse, so I suspect she died after, or during laying an egg.

Since it was nice, & cool this morning I butchered her, so she didn't go to waste.
She was crawling with lice, which is no surprise, as I have an infestation I need to take care of. Just need more chemical resistant nitrile gloves first so I can use my permethrin spray.
She also had an egg waiting to come out. So, it was either egg bound, or it was the lice that killed her. She was acting perfectly fine yesterday.
