Gold Feather Farms Reviews?

I have a few Mosaics that I got from a local breeder and wanted to get some background info on these beautiful birds. I wrote Brian (the founder) an email asking for more history and information on the breed, and got NO RESPONSE. Emailed again, NO RESPONSE. It's now been several months of attempting to contact this guy...WITH NO RESPONSE. I had every intention of ordering birds directly from him, but based on this experience and the comments on this thread I think I'm going to stick with my local breeder. Gold Feather Farms is doing a GREAT job of making sure they lose lots of business.

Hi, I purchased a Swedish Flower Hen pullet from them in October, 2016. The Swedish was originally from union hill (fanstastic customer service but had sold her lot of those birds to Gold Feather. The pullet was gorgeous and came with a guarantee to be female. Fast forward to December 2016 and I had been emailing them for weeks that the pullet was a roo. Zero response until I complained to Union Hill. Then the GFF owner gets back to me, all apologetic. He’s got none available but will send in th Spring and I offer to put a deposit but he responds he is sorry for the delayed response so will send it free of charge - just remind him.

20 emails later sans response, messages to their Facebook ignored and I’m more than 18 months out the $85 I paid for the bird and shipping. Making a BBB complaint.

This is a horrid business. I can’t believe they are still around. I even offered to send his roo back with me paying shipping bc they are illegal here and have been nothing but respectful in all of my correspondence with them.

Would never ever recommend. If anything goes wrong with your purchase they won’t respond.
I’m still waiting on my hatching eggs. I paid $45 for express shipping but yet, no eggs. It wasn’t until I told them ppl were telling me they were a fraud, that they finally returned a message. I asked when my eggs would be shipped and now the wife says she needs to ask the husband. So annoying. Just sent the damn hatching eggs that I paid a ton for and along with prompt shipping. My other worry is that some people who have ordered from them said the Ayam Cemani they received, had white toenails. If that’s the case, they are not worth what they are asking. I ordered Ayam Cemani, Swedish flower and white Bresse hatching eggs. Now, let’s see how much longer I have to wait before receiving them.

We just got barbezieux and breese chicks from Gold Feather Farms. They sent a few extras and appear healthy and active! I called before ordering to check availability and they shipped when they told me they should. They just came in, but at this point, I would buy from them again.
