No point in separating them out now but in the future it's best to plan on a 1-2 week see but no touch introductory period before putting birds together, after a 4 week biological quarantine period. One week. Nope, put straight in. Having to get firm with them mean girls and stand out there to make sure they let the new ones out and eating lol.
lol yep that wouldn’t be fun.No point in separating them out now but in the future it's best to plan on a 1-2 week see but no touch introductory period before putting birds together, after a 4 week biological quarantine period.
Your girls aren't "mean" they're acting exactly as a flock would act towards newcomers. Imagine if you would waking up one day to find 3 strangers as roommates in your house.
Thank you. I have started some of the clutter thing. Also, I tried letting my old girls out to free range in the mornings and give the new girls time to have the coop and pen all to themselves. This seemed to help some. In fact, one of the new girls roosted with the old girls last night. Thanks for the help.
