Golden Penciled Hamburg Temperament

Does anyone else have any Golden Penciled Hamburgs? I ended up with a rooster - he's about 8 months old now - but he is the wildest chicken I've ever owned. I finally separated him from the flock (he's still with them, but he's in his own little bachelor pad) because he was driving my girls crazy. I watched him mate with the same Cochin hen 9 times in half an hour one day. He will fly and land on them to mate! I am just wondering if he'll calm down as he ages. He's not mean or people-aggressive, and I'm kind of attached to the little fool. I hated to separate him, but my girls were going bald.

Cockerels can be a bit oversexed, but in my experience Hamburgs are rather flighty birds.
