Good remedies for treating Deer Fly bites?

Here in South Florida we have these awful Deer Flies that leave the most terrribly itchy bites. They're small & slender and have golden-yellow bodies. If these flies really do plague deer, I have to wonder how Bambi & his mother stayed so serene & happy.

The itch from these bites lasts for days and often I scratch my skin raw trying to get relief. Does anyone know a good remedy for Deer Fly bites?

You might try a homeopathic remedy .. APIS mellifica (Apis) , which is recommended for insect bites.

I got approximately 8 of these horribly painful and itchy bites, and then began to develop an allergic reaction. I tried benedryl cream and pills and it did not work.
A friend told me to buy Dermaplast spray from the pharmacy.
It worked miracles!! Immediately began to reduce my pain and swelling!! Now 3 days after using it, the bites are almost gone. I highly recommend keeping this around your home for any insect bites and minor burns as well.
