Goslings of 2015 Hatch-a-Long

I personally think that should only apply in the wild

All I can do is provide the best circumstances and I only interfere if there seems to be a problem like shrink wrapping aka something I take responsibility for or to put eggs from a nest into the bator after a hen leaves them to care for chicks. In this case the eggs were from the neighbor and I believe I've incubated them properly because they are fully formed and internally pipped but cannot get out of the shells, but after I lost a whole set a safety pip is a precaution I'll gladly take to get the chance to have some African goslings.

I'm really worried these guys won't hatch. How long does it take after an internal pip to fully hatch? 24 hours? 48 hours?

I try to leave them be for at least 24 hours after internal pips, they've still got to absorb the yolk. I try to keep the humidity up and I'll spritz them periodically. But after a day I'll check for pips if there's no obvious ones yet.. that's when I poke a safe hole and try and have a quick peek and peep at it to see if it's still kicking then spritz it and put it back. Then I try not to stand there and watch thru the window lol or check every five minutes. But I have seen some that take three days to hatch, every egg is different, one will take twenty minutes another might take two days.

Photo bombed by the baby sitter lol
It's do funny when they run into the puddle and he starts clucking at to them to come out of there before they drown.
My brothers goslings =) from 3weeks ago...I think... gotta check.

Today is day 30 for the goose eggs i had in the incubator and then slipped under the goose. Im still waiting to see anything from her, its a cool rainy day today so i wont be able to go check on her until this evening. The eggs are from a toulouse/embden goose so they could take up to 32-34 days.

My last batch of duck eggs are in lockdown im expecting atleast 12. Im very excited about one certain egg, last week i dropped it by accident it bounced off the cabinet that i have the bator on and completely caved in the pointed end of the egg. I ran & found an old candle and melted the wax onto the dent & cracks(nothing was leaking) im happy to say it is one of 3 that has already externally pipped!! It also has a very loud peeper!
