Granny's gone and done it again

Guys got done about 2:45.
Granny you are 2 hrs ahead of me.
It's 3:35 now.
House is warmed up.
They checked the air conditioner for a short bit. Cant do it in cold weather for too long.
Glad it's done.
There is a smell. We're not to be alarmed, if the fire alarms go off. Sometimes it smokes. No smoking here. 😁 There is a smell, not too bad.
Only does that for a couple of hrs.

I've been making Greek meatballs today, "keftedes", for the first time. They are so good! They are actually for tomorrow night's dinner, but I'll be making moussaka and that is enough to deal with in one day.

Big Blue...I'll be making corn tortillas today too. We're having taquitos. In fact, it will be time to start the tortillas here in a few minutes. Just have to clean up from making the meatballs.

Glad its over! Everyone do the Snoopy dance!

I think corn tortillas are much easier than flour, but I do want to try to make the flour ones one day.
Me too!

I like making Indian Fry Bread. First time I had it was in New Mexico in a little Mexican Restaurant in Gallup. It was Navajo style. Bite off a corner (they were triangles), pour honey into the hole (it's flakey inside) and enjoy. I've made Cherokee style before and it looks like your corn tortillas, @BigBlueHen53. Not made of corn, of course, flour but man it's nummy.

Went out to take care of the chickens. It's snowing? Dang weather guessers. They said 30% chance. Really fine snow. When I came out of the coop the ground was white already. Didn't see where there was any prediction of accumulation but even if they did guess, they'd guess wrong, so we shall see.

eggplant? I haven't had that since we left Mi. in 2007 and OMG did I love it!
Layers...potatoes, eggplant, meat sauce and bechamel. Except this time I'm creating a vegetarian version using mushrooms and barley to replace the meat sauce. I'll put the tomatoes and seasonings in it just like a meat sauce. Main thing is to get the texture right. This is so I have something new to make for my vegetarian friends when they come over next time. that will probably be in the next week or two, this is trial number one. Hoping it will be the only one. 😁
