This did not come from well drilling as it was the additive to make gasoline burn cleaner or so they said. Sulfur is naturally present in places around the country. I remember one artisan well (flows without pumping) that had a lot of sulfur in the water. I think Benzine may have been the problem chemical but not sure and to tired now to dig any deeper. I imagine being politicians made the error a lot of it got swept under the rug. It was big in the news when I first heard about it.I wondered because when I first moved to NW NM in 1975 or so, I had friends who could not use the water in their MH, it stunk so bad. They could not shower, do laundry or anything else. I think it smelled of sulfur and there were a lot of natural gas and oil wells in the area.

You need electrolytes also.I could mix it 3 parts to 1 part store brand knock off of Mountain Dew. I could drink that when I'm working non stop in the gardens.
I used to drink gin and tonicI remember drinking tonic once many yrs ago and it was nasty.
