You walk her outside, you can glove up and with lube feel up in her vulva with a finger and see if feel a puppy in the birth canal. You can do the wheelbarrow method. Pick up rear of dog and hold in the position for a few minutes.

If she isn’t pushing I usually don’t worry unless I can feel something in the birth canal.

nothing in there as far as my middle finger will go. I did use a glove and lube ( well Vaseline) NO visible signs of pushing and she's actually sleeping at the moment.
