Granny's gone and done it again

One of our dearest pullets that we had to rehab from an attack of roosters can walk very well now and she laid her first egg today. Her roommate in the clinic still has very bad legs and can't walk a single step. It's going to take a lot of PT and warm water soaks in Epsom salts water and maybe I can get her like new again. I hope so for her sake. She will always have the best care possible even if she never walks again. I don't know if she will ever lay an egg and until she is well I hope she doesn't. She doesn't need any extra straining like she is.

Ma went out and pick the peppers today when we got home with the muscadines. Looks like 2 and a 1/2 gallons of jalapenos, a gallon of cayenne, and a gallon of poblano. Looks like we need to make a lot of chilli this winter.
Bein' down south n' all it probably won't matter to cool things down (chilly) a bit this winter. Aye? :plbb

How are you feeling this evening, @Nomadicus ?
I walked more today than I have in the last week and was doing ok until I bent over to dump a water fountain that we use in the sun room brooder where the Sapphire Gems are. Another 2-4 weeks they can go outside. Not sure where but they can. I think I have a coop that I can put them in now. Those kids are some of the tamest we have ever had.
