I think it was the BCM's egg. The nozzle on her brown pigment spray gun needed cleaned.

I'm staying medicated and resting a lot. Piddling some around the house but nothing strenuous right now. If Ma picks peas today I'll shell them. I think she has already canned what she picked yesterday.
Will try and check in on everyone later this evening. Tired of this runny nose and cough. Coughing makes me short of breath.

Hey all. Gotta try to catch up a bit. Started the medicine doctor prescribed for my diverticulitis attack and in 48 hours I was having some pretty bad side effects to one that I haven't taken since 06. When they started I'm thinking, well this feels familiar? Oh, crap now I remember but by then it was too late. Severe stomach cramps, dizziness, heart palpitations, skin felt like it was burning, insomnia the list went on and on so I stopped it over the weekend and called the doctor today. Needless to say he said stop taking it. One step ahead of you doc old boy. But I think if I could just get a goodnights sleep I'd feel a lot better now... that and the incidental back and gut pain from the reaction going away.

Was so p.o.ed today. Got a shipment of cat food delivered by UPS. The minute I opened the box I knew something was wrong. The smell knocked me back a few steps. DH came in and helped. Found the bottom flat of food had two ruptured cans in it and the who thing was crawling with maggots. I was not a happy camper. DH dug out all the can that weren't damaged and washed them for me. I said tomorrow I hope to catch our delivery guy and tell him the next time I opened a box like that I was going to call the warehouse and get one of the yoyos who dropped the box to come here and clean up the mess he caused.

Life is too short.

Anyway. Hope everyone is safe and nobody is in the path of Milton. After Helene, we don't need a repeat.

Friends and family in Florida. One son is evacuating, he may stay with his brother. Which may not be much better.

@CapricornFarm, I've been thinking about you. Didn't think you were in the danger zones but I've been hoping that you and yours are all okay, especially since you live by a river.

I tell ya, this is one of those times I'm really glad that we are landlocked and all we have to worry about are blizzards, ice storms and the rare tornado. We almost retired to Florida, Sebring area. Still sorry we didn't about the time January rolls around.

Have any of you ever heard of a mouse chewing through cooking oil containers? I discovered one did today putting groceries away in the back up pantry in the shop. Had it for 6 years at least, the back up pantry not the oil. Man did I walk into a mess. Oil everywhere and two containers with 3 mm holes chewed in them. I'm still cleaning up oil which ain't fun. Moved the oil into the kitchen, put out mouse bait. Going to keep the ruined oil for emergency lamp oil but man. Those mice must be getting desperate.
