Granny's gone and done it again

I'm here :frow
I just don't seem to have much to say ...
Ryder is a lot more energetic and playful than he was yesterday, now that he's been eating. He follows GC everywhere and is learning to respond to the leash. She is learning how to use it properly and be consistent in her commands which is so important. She gave him a little shower today to wash the dog slobber off him from his littermates. He's already good for her. I'm glad we got him. He's had no accidents in the house.
Good Ryder! 👍🏼

Yes I feel your pain. Because of wild fires here in calif they just are not insuring certain areas for any fire damage. People cannot get fire insurance on their homes.

Sounds like I do not want to move to florida.
Insurance is also hard to understand all the details. I think I could save us money if I'd understand it better. They always say apples to apples and I'd like to say I don't fully understand the apples I do have. We used to say the least amount of car coverage we need until we got hit by a hit and run truck with a wide piece of equipment on a truck and we had to pay out of pocket!

Well, now I did it! I was walking to the barn with an armful of big weeds and a bucket under my right arm. I didn't see the 4 foot long piece of pvc I'm the path, fell, impacting my hip and right ribs. I suspect they may be broken, but no point getting x-rays because they don't do anything anyways. More hot baths in my future!

I feel for you Cap. The ones I broke the first week of November last year still have not healed and make it hard to sleep a lot of nights. I suspect they just don't heal like they would if I was in my late 40's instead of late 70's. I wish our bed was split in the middle so I could raise my head and foot end and then I might could sleep on my back so I wouldn't hurt a left shoulder or right side ribs.

Goodnight once more.

Aww, Cap, NOOO!!! That's three down with busted ribs, what is this, the curse of the busted ribs? I'm so sorry! Won't they at least give you something for pain?

They used to tape them to keep them somewhat immobilized to control pain and aid in healing, don't they even do that any more?

Good question! I would think that would help at least a little.

@CapricornFarm if you aren't already taking a supplement that includes MSM (some Joint pills) it's a really good thing to add to reduce inflammation. It's simply sulfur, and very safe as it's in most natural foods we eat.
Inflammation plays a big role in ouchies, which is why they stick a bit in the Joint supps (but not a full dose).
