They always lay in my lap to chew their 'porkies' in the evening. They aren't as hard as a bone but last for a long time. They like if I hold it for them.

I do hope so. She has stolen our hearts the way she talks to us. We can tell her something and then she will chatter some chicken talk right back at us.

Sophie will talk to any person but is terrified of another chicken. She doesn't like rocking on the porch when she can see another chicken.

I know chickens can make good pets. We used to live upstairs from DHs brothers dental office and we had outside stairs. My chickens would sit on the stairs looking in at the patients. They were very comical running up and down. I had one of the mesh things for my outside door and one chicken laid her egg under my bed every day.
