Granny's gone and done it again

The Asian beetle invasion hit us today. We did some shopping, pulled up to the house, got the groceries in, no problem. Ten minutes later DH's nephew pulled up on his 4 wheeler to pick up a couple pecan tree saplings I told him he could have, and I got attacked when I stepped out the door! The back wall was covered with these stinking, biting nightmares cleverly disguised as ladybug beetles. I immediately came in, mixed up a batch of my lemon oil battle juice and began spraying like crazy. I've sprayed the back porch windows inside and out, the side windows inside, the front windows and front door inside and out, and the living room ceiling. I'm beat! But ... I'm winning! There are hardly any of these buggers left. Except possibly in my nightmares tonight.
Sorry, Blue girl, but I had to laugh. Today we are Asian Beetle free! Yay! I was prepared to spray them into Hades but the showers and the chilly weather has knocked them back before I could.

But I'm ready for the little blighters should they show up again!

They are just such totally disgusting things and think, the USDA released them to contain nuisance insects like mites.

Wish I could gather them up and ship them to Washington where they will be at home with the rest of the blood suckers there.

big accomplishment for the day besides doing 3 loads of laundry and sweeping up two dustpans full of cat hair (why do they shed ALL year? they are worse than the cattle dogs) was baking a pineapple/angel food cake. For anybody who's never discovered this almost guilt free recipe, it's simple. An angel food cake mix mixed with a can of crushed pineapple, mix it up and pour it into a 13X9 baking dish and bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. I like to grease the bottom of the pan lightly although the recipe calls not to. Cool and serve with whipped cream.
Chick, this sounds so good! Do you drain the puneapple?

Nope, just dump the can in on top of the cake mix juice and all and stir till blended. Make sure you use a large bowl because this 'rises' for want of a better word and will overflow the bowl if not big enough.

 Nothing??? Did they say why? You just have to live with this pain? That ain't right!

If there isn't anything they can do surgically for you then they need to focus on pain control.
He really didn't say except for Im on a lot of meds and there is a lot of damage in there. He mentioned pain clinic. I said if its steroids I cant do those and he said no need to send you there then and I should ask my Dr to control it with meds.

That doesn't sound right. Were you at the primary care (PCP) Dr? Because a PCP doesn't specialize in bones and nerves. Was he going to refer you to an orthopedist or neurologist? You should be going to a specialist because they know the latest treatments available. I wouldn't stop there... Id ask to be referred to a specialist. For you it may be more then one specialist. At least find out what other treatments are available

Gotta disagree with the specialist. There are other things a pain clinic can do besides dole out steroids. Talk to your primary care provider and get his advice about pain control and see what he thinks.

Pretty sure this was a specialist but I could be wrong.
