well all I am going to znoe out in front of the TV and attempt to watch the returns.

2 big statewide measures on the ballot in ND.

1) ban property taxes

2) rec pot and the ability to grow, harvest and sell your own weed.

ND is so "deep red" that over 1/2 of the Statewide offices didn't even have a dem challenger.

That's the way our local elections are.

Today we had one that didn't have any candidates. They asked us for 'write ins' DH and I were next to one another in booths and I leaned over and asked him what he was doing about that one and he said nothing so I did the same. When we put our ballots in the vote register an election official pointed out that we had missed a category and we told her we knew it but who were we supposed to write in anyway? She agreed and said she had done the same thing.

Seriously, maybe we should have written in the name of somebody we don't like so they could get tangled up in small town politics. May have been worth a few chuckles.

Did my civic duty and voted today. Line went VERY quickly. Dropped the mortgage and bobcat payments off at the bank and a bill at Community Action. Then out to the farm I went.

Got the pics I needed. Back to town and a quick stop at Menard's (they worry if I don't check in a couple times a week) Walmart for dog food and shaving cream WHICH the powers(idiots) that be have determined should be in a separate area with the makup and you have to pay there before doing any other shopping. SERIOUSLY that many people steal shaving cream?? Got home and had to go to Angie's place and change out a water shut off valve to their kitchen sink which was dripping. Honestly it took longer to find the main water shut off to the house than replacing the valve did. Up at 6 am again and didn't get to bed until 1 am.

My main shut off won't shut off. Need a new ball valve I guess. Aggravating.

We needed the rain bad but all at once? I think we have rain back in the forecast here on Saturday.

Saturday and Sunday here. I think we get a couple of dry days but I have a bumbershoot in the car anyway just in case!

I usually feed my dogs a little before noon. About 11:00 they start staring meaningfully at me, dancing, and panting, and if that doesn't get me off the couch Jenny starts climbing on me and grinning in my face like a baboon. It's really hard to watch tv around a ginormous Golden retriever in your face.

I've tried explaining Daylight Saving Time to them. A couple years ago they got fed at 7 am and 4 pm. Now here we are.

You wouldn't think dogs would have a corner on emotional blackmail but mine seem especially good at it.
