Should not take anything from public land without a permit, except pictures. I used to work for archaeologists in NW NM. Oh, the permits! It was my job to be sure every "arky"'s permits were up to date. Ten arky's, I think. Working in 4 states, AZ, NM, CO and UT. . Under several jurisdictions: BLM, Federal, State, National Forest ... hmm, was that all? Shoo, I don't remember. I did it, though! Lol. Permits required.I look for rocks and artifacts, but I don’t dare pick them up. This is all on a reservation and I haven’t yet found out if it’s okay for me to take anything out from there. I for sure can’t take any plant or animal matter, but I’m not sure about rocks.
Sleep well!Bedtime for this little bear. Y'all take care of yourselves and be safe.
