Good morning! I feel like I've already done a day's work this morning! Last of the peppers and a stalk of celery in one dehydrator and 4 packages of day old dinner rolls in the other dehydrator. Kitchen cleaned up and a load of laundry going. Must be the sun shining in the windows that has me going.

Morning all, I was up at 5 then 7 I made coffee took my meds sat down then the phone woke me 10. Social worker from the hospital . Tom has been accepted at River Terrace in Madison where the old hospital is. She didn't know if he would be moved today or tomorrow. EDIT, Nurse called, he has already been moved.I guess he took the news well. https://trilogyhs.com/family-resources/
God, I hope Im doing the right thing. I vowed, in sickness and health and this guilt is gonna eat me up

The sun is shining but it is a cold 47° out there now. I've got to put on about 4 layers and make sure coops have feed and water. We stocked them heavy in advance of the rains we got because we knew we would be out of town all day yesterday. I worry when I don't see them every day. 10 more days and the daylight will slowly increase back up to a layer's light.

Left Sammy at vet. He has, among other puncture wounds, a 3-inch deep gash on the back of his leg. He needs stiches and a drain. $435.

You can dry rolls?? How do you reconstitute them? Never heard of this. You are an amazing woman.

You vowed to stick with him, to love, honor and cherish. You're doing that! You're not divorcing him or leaving him. You're making sure he's getting the best possible care - care you can't give him now. That's nothing to feel guilty about. You are honoring your vows in the best possible way, Granny.

Yes you can dry them. I crumble them and use them to make stuffing/dressing or as croutons. I also use them like Panko crumbs as a coating. Check out this site https://www.thepurposefulpantry.com/ it has a lot of good information. she also has a youtube channel.

I have an appointment with the surgeon after lunch today. My home health nurse that paid a visit last week though it would be a good idea as sore as my neck is and as tire as I stay along with extreme weakness. I'm no longer coughing and I think Covid can be ruled out. I do have another batch of test kits coming and will test when they come, maybe. Meanwhile I have time for a nap before going to get more information. The nurse didn't think I should wait til February for a followup ultrasound on the thyroid because of the pain that started from swallowing not. BBL this afternoon.

Didn’t you have a biopsy on your thyroid nodules? Now you are having problems with swallowing?
