With Tom coming home there's a lot of clearing to do before we can get him in the house

what were you doing in Iceland?

We lived there for 3 years. My DH was career Navy and that was our last station. Quite an adventure.

We had ice storms in Virginia. They were absolutely beautiful, but I was thankful when I didn't have to go out in them.

Iceland was a different story. Black ice all winter long. Everyone fell at least once every year before we got our ice legs under us.

I used to love in VA. Moved from there to here in Utah. Not too fond of the politics here. Most of the time ok.

Studs and yes. The trick was getting in and out of the car.

Time to visit the coops. Not turning them out as our temps are diving already and the wind is howling. This is going to be a quick pass around. Need to check the timer on the banana trees and make sure the lamp(s) come on by 9pm and shut of at 9am. It's going to be a brutal 29° if not colder tonight.
