Yes it does but when I just did it the towel ended up cool

How are you heating the towel? Did you try heating a wet washcloth like I advised? You can keep heating it as often as you need to, and re-wet it, too. I find that keeping it in a zippie bag helps keep it moist longer.

Might do a better job as the ears get cold too. I was thinking about my ear drums and ear aches.

I'm going to Harbor Freight for some gloves and may find an inexpensive set of earmuffs there. As long as I can adjust the tension so they are not so tight they cut off circulation.
