Granny's gone and done it again

Better safe than sorry!
Yeah I guess that makes sense but I’ve never gotten sick from it and even the FDA says 3-4 days for leftovers (it’s different for different foods I guess). Although today is the 4th day so I guess I won’t risk it lol

Yes, I'm leary of giving baby aspirin. But it seems half of one might not be working. They couldn't see anything on the X-ray so didn't discuss options. It may be her knee. When I bathe her and pick up her back leg, she doesn't bend then but rather shifts her back to the side. I hate taking all these X-rays and paying for them when they can't find anything. He very will get the X-ray from the ER and maybe they can see something. I've been careful about the kind of exercise she gets. I wonder if the cold has something to do with it
I hear ya. I give our two oldest dogs Glucosamine for Dogs made by Zebora that I get on Amazon. They are chicken flavored and they love them. They can also be given to cats so my old lady who is 18 and so stoved up with arthritis gets one also. She is a picky girl too but she gobbles these down.

Not recommending it but......We used to use chocolate pudding at work to mix ground medications in for people who can or won't swallow pills. Some used applesauce but chocolate will mask all medication tastes and yes, I have used it with our dogs to get them to swallow down meds. It's not like I'm feeding them a whole bowl full or a big block Hersey bar, just a teaspoon full but it sure makes it easier to give them meds when they will take the meds willingly.

Seriously? I'm eating chicken I froze in November 2023. Tastes like chicken, lol plus, no way I'm throwing out perfectly good food, the Pennsylvania Dutch and Cherokee in me just won't do that willingly.
I think according to the article it said it was still safe to eat (actually said it was safe indefinitely if frozen) but apparently it loses moisture and flavor if kept past that time frame (the 3-4 months)????? IDK. LOL I personally would still eat it too.

I double or triple wrap my frozen meat in Glad freezer bags. Tends to lengthen their life in the freezer and prevent freezer burn or taste.

It's 23° here, can't put it off any longer. Got to bundle up and go out and feed and gather eggs.

That makes sense!!!!!!!!! Smart. Seems like they just randomly chose a number because they used 3-4 for the fridge too except days not months. LOL

Thank you! She hides her pain well until she starts shaking and hiding in a corner and by then I think she doesn't want to take anything by mouth because of the pain. Before the shaking, she doesn't limp, doesn't sit around. Acts normal. I suspect pain if it's nap time and she isn't sleeping or if she's unusually restless in bed.
When is the last time a vet listened to her heart?
