Granny's gone and done it again

I got a couple for y'all.

We saw public aid patients in my husband's practice. Always thought we were helping those who needed it the most. Then one day after Christmas a kiddo came in with mom. Asked kiddo if Santa had been good to him and kiddo shuffled their feet and hung their head. I thought oh oh, I asked the wrong question until mom said, Tell Becky what Santa brought you! When kiddo hesitated mom said, he got a big screen tv, an Xbox, a dvd player.....mom then handed me their IDPA card. I asked her if she would adopt us.

About a month later a different mom and kiddo came in, another IDPA patient. On the way out the door mom said she had to drive to the nearby big city and start shopping for their summer vacation coming up the next year. I said it was kind of early wasn't it and she said no, they were going to Australia!

Please somebody explain to me how this works because even after about 15 years I still can't figure it out.......
Can't explain it. That's the problem we're talking about.

Man I wish I could work in a garden again
Me too! Always used to garden in NM. MO is a whole other planet and I just can't any more. But I am going to try composting the chicken manure this spring and summer. Just in case I'm able to garden again ... container gardening, maybe.

@Ingrid_Grace check with your local county extension service for information that would pertain to your local growing time tables for good advice. In Indiana you should have some of the best soils for growing the best tasting fresh foods possible. I've been on large farms from Ohio to Missouri and know just how rich the soils are across the corn belt.

Wow thanks! I didn't really know about that. the soil in our yard is very dark and someone told me that's good, I just don't know why lol. I'm pretty clueless

You can grow tomatoes that are simple the best tasting like no where else in the world.
y'know, every year my dad gets a tomato plant, forgets about it, weeds grow up around it, he remembers it, and finds tomatoes, without doing a single thing to it. last year I killed 2 gardens :lau
