Granny's gone and done it again

Last winter our thermostat went blank and I couldn't turn the heat on. It was the first time I ever knew the thermostat runs on batteries.
We have a lock on the front door that runs on battery as well, need no keys. Just a code. One day I realized DH threw out the directions to the lock. I need that when the battery dies. :idunno
Maybe Google can help with that.

We are all electric and it will always be that way from now on as much as we would like a gas range and the natural gas fireplace connected again. No open flames allowed here.
Because of the oxygen tanks? Can a red hot electric stove top not do the same?

Maybe Google can help with that.
I'm going to look it up because the day I get locked out because of a dead battery, I don't want be standing outside on the front porch figuring it out (while stamping around because I can't get to the toilet?) I hadn't thought about looking it up on the Great and All Knowing Google

when Tom was on oxygen they told me to stay 5 ft. away from his tank to smoke. They would bring tanks but never pick up the old ones. I called them and said Tom is done with your oxygen and empty and full tanks were sitting outside. Took them all of 15 mins. to get here. That was after tons of calls to them asking to pick the emptys up.

Didn't Robert freak out knowing there was a highly explosive tank in the house?
