Granny's gone and done it again

Are they sitting fertile eggs?
I assume so but I don't know for sure. We do have a rooster. Maybe I should candle them, we're about a week from hatch date.

If they are they normally will get off once a day with no need for you to do it. Their not going to sit there and starve. Sometimes close to hatch they wont get down and that's pretty normal too but it wont hurt the eggs by you taking them off the eggs
I don't know if they get off or not.

Hows your knee pain today Blue?
About a 6. If I'm going to be up much I use the walker, but just for short bits I use a cane. I'm okay as long as I stay in the recliner, lol. GC took off to hang out with the BF so I'm doing my own laundry, but it's manageable.

Granny, it's okay that I throw my broody hens, er, pullets, off the nest every day, isn't it? They'll be hens the end of this month. When I toss scratch, BOSS and worms out every afternoon, I toss these girls out so they can get a little exercise, enjoy the snacks, dust bathe, etc., for a few minutes. It doesn't hurt the eggs for them to be off the nests for a few minutes, right?
Glad you are safe.

I don't know how to make meatballs or gravy. The brown gravy you buy in a glass jar I don't care for.

Just a can of plain sauce? It all sounds good.
You can buy gravy mix that you just add water to make. Meatballs already to cook or already cooked in the freezer section (Armour brand or Tyson are both good)

Good Morning!
New one here 😄, I just posted “Hi from SoCal” in new members thread and this one was suggested under it. Seems like a fun place to be. I’m glad to read you didn’t wake up under the stars but under your roof!

Gotta get the kids up for school, just wanted to pop in and see what this group is about. 😅😄
