Had to smile thinking of you driving with chick in your bra. Glad you've found him a good home with kids his own size. What tales it will tell in chickie kindergarten! But sadly, he went to sleep with the fishes sometime before morning
Two other chickies went with him. I couldn't figure out why until I saw Cocomo the mom take a really protective pose when I approached and the four remaining chicks wanted to go back under but they couldn't squeeze in with her pose so defensive (her chest pushed against the shavings). I thought it looked odd so I sat far away to watch and noticed her doing it every time the wind blew a branch or another chicken making a noise. Thus, I think the 3 lost ones got too cold in the night when she wouldn't let them back under.
It's her first time being a mom, so I'm hoping she will settle in. In a week Freckles hatches her batch and she's a much better mom, I was kinda thinking of swapping them but Cocomo is already done with sitting. Goldie is also trying to be broody but she's much smaller than Freckles who has a big batch of eggs, so I can't swap them. Really hoping Cocomo will get her feathers together!

Well I'm sorry to hear about little Freddy Mafia, I had taken quite a shine to him. But what life he lived, eh? I hope Cocomo figures it out too but maybe Goldie just needs to have a small family. Say hi to your mom for me.

DH has an MRCP scheduled tomorrow, for the cholecystitis and pancreatitis. I didn't know if it was possible but with the teams from both hospitals collaborating, I think it will be made possible. They have to take the vacuum off his tube so moved the appointment in to a hospital appointment to make sure everything goes smooth. There are many wonderful people out there!
His insurance company called to see how he is doing or if there is anything they can do to help him . Again, so many wonderful people out there!

12:45. Thank you! Hopefully they find what the problem is. I don't want to sound selfish but I will be thankful if the answer can be something other then surgery to remove the gall bladder. Miracles aren't old fashioned!
