Granny's gone and done it again

Right! I kept asking if she was sure. It was between the olive egger and a polish. However the polish was older and bigger than my chicks so she was concerned about possible injuries. So she let me take the olive egger that was closer to the size of my chicks. I do plan on in the future buying her some pullets as she sadly didn't have a lot of luck this year and ended with so many cockerels.
How very sweet of you. I know a lot of ladies that would rather have a chicken instead of a diamond. Not me of course but a lot! :gig

Hi all, lots of sleeping going on around here. We got Toms food delivery today and lets just say we have enough milk and dinners/breakfasts to last 2 weeks easy. IF I can get Tom to eat them better than he does. It would cut our grocery bill down.
Why won’t he eat them?

I planted three more tomato plants today. Earyl Boys. The rest are German Johnsons.
It sounds so weird to me me to hear them called early boys. Early girls have been around for many years. How many tomatoes do you have or are you just getting started?

if the sire had been a herford then mom would have died in labor. Normal yak calf is 20 to 30 pounds at birth.

You can cross breed BUT need to do a yak bull on "normal"cattle. And for best results add a just weaned yak bull to a cattle herd. Otherwise, the bull "prefers" a HAIRY partner (ie yak) to a regular cow.
I was joking, but thanks for the information. I did not know there was that much difference in bovine reproduction.
