If you need to and roo's are still feathered you could use one to chicken proof a dog. Is how we did Ryder. Hooked one up to an electric fencer, hung it from a tree. Then we all went in the house and let him discover it with his cold wet nose or maybe he tried to grab it, not sure. Left it hanging for 3 days as a reminder. He won't go near a chicken now for some reason.not really, roo's are in the freezer after breaking their necks ready to bait the live traps come coon season.
