Everything looked normal except these two pictures
I think that’s the liver totally covered in fat and some tumors

She also had a ton of blood clots in her. I opened her up moments after she passed

I’ll eventually do a pcr test at some point but I am leaning words Mereks. My next round of hatches will get the vaccine!

I’m not seeing the liver. The picture on the right is the gizzard. The one on the left looks almost like a lash egg, but may be fat. Was it attached to anything? Does anything peel off of it? With fatty liver, and that is a good possibility, the liver may be tan or putty colored instead of red. A blood clot may be seen around the liver in fatty liver hemorrhagic disease. The picture at the bottom could be a tumor. Do you have other pictures of organs?

That was the only thing that stuck out and there was a ton of blood clots in her body. It was a fast death I held her till she passed.

I’m pretty sure it was the liver, it seemed enlarged.

I think I need to decrease their feed, they do not free range.

I added some milk thistle to their water and will substitute with rooster booster.

I wasn’t sure if the things I thought were tumors were her ovaries

She was 5 months old

I just switched to this feed, but I have a mix from the farmer who has a bit of corn in it. I’ll omit that from the diet!!

If it is a balanced chicken feed with corn, that is okay. I just meant they don’t need or require extra corn or scratch grains. I do give mine a very small amount of scratch, but limited.

I was suspicious of Mereks, if you know from previous posts, but I really didn’t see anything suspicious.

So going forward
1. All hatched chicks will get Mereks vaccine

2. Increase vitamins and use milk thistle (selenium, not sure if I spelled that right)

3. Omit the scratch grain and extra corn

That feed I have has selenium yeast in it, so that’s good! I bought some rooster booster (the kind that has selenium in it)
