Hellooo! I really am at my wits end and do no know what to do... I have a 5yo female great pyrenees who has NEVER had pups, ever. Got her as a pup and she has never even shown signs of being in heat. Got a male pup over 3 yrs ago to keep her company and help with the LGD duties.

Well, we went out to feed and water them on Christmas Eve and found three puppies in the dog house! I was initially overjoyed! Beautiful, perfect little furry jelly beans 🥰 I thought finding them homes would be no problem, since they're so useful and lovable and just all-around great dogs. Several years back, we had had both our 9 month old barn cats have kittens (I know, my ex insisted they couldn't have kittens so young and wouldn't let me get them spayed!) but I had no trouble finding homes for all of them...

I was unaware of how facebook and craigslist have cracked down on pet sales—constantly lumping legit rehoming efforts in with shady breeders or scammers—and I cannot create a post that isn't immediately flagged or just not ever approved. At this point, I have spent over 300 each on their care, feed, vaccines, worming, etc! I have put up fliers at all the farm stores and Caseys, I have embarrassingly paid money to sites that no one visits😭 like puppies.com

If there's anyone here who needs a guardian dog for their flock or knows someone who does or has a lead on effective advertising, I would be so thankful.

I have a blue-eyed boy (Bluey) and a brown-eyed boy (Brownie) available. They are excellent guardians, but our dogs do not have direct contact with chickens.

So you kept an unspayed female with an intact male and did not know they could produce puppies? :idunno

Very surprising you can not place them, regardless.
Unless they are still too young. In PA puppies need to be at least 7 weeks old... maybe eight. But of course folks used to get rid of them as soon as they were weaned. Which leads to socialization issues because they haven't picked up enough social skills from mom and the siblings.

Anyway, I would ask your vet to put out the word.
Personally speaking, CL and the like is the last place I would look for a pet. But if your vet could get out the word potential owners might feel more comfortable. Especially is he also cares for farm animals.

Cute pups!

They're 10 weeks old, born on Christmas Eve

These are pure Great Pyrenees, correct?
Curious what you're asking for them?
I don't need one but I could ask around or keep my ears open.

Oh man... those pups need a home :(
Maybe hit up the local feed and seed type places.

By the time a pup is 14 weeks old it's too late to do any imprinting. You can still train it, but deep down what it becomes is already set in stone. And Pyrs are a pretty independent breed as it is.
