Sounds amazingI was too, until couple years ago. This year, w/ turkey dinner, had green beans cooked with bacon & onion.
I added a picture of a keto recipe's ingredients to previous post. Not much different than the "traditional " - just not the canned stuff...
That sounds so good omgI said Yay, as I grew up on the "traditional" canned, canned & French onions... & loved it.
I've missed it as haven't had it for a couple years but working hard to eat healthier. The last green beans was as a salad type 3 beans in vinegarette.
I found a couple of Keto recipes - fresh or frozen green beans, no canned soup unless you made your own w/ less sodium & heavy whipping cream in place of milk, scallions instead of fried french onions, topped w/ ground pork rinds or nuts, maybe also a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
Haven't tried them yet, but will soon...View attachment 4000562
Yeah we use to grow a patch of them. They were smaller. Not large. After a few years we couldnt find the seeds anymore. So i havent had those in awhile. But some farm stanfs have onions similar.I LOVE RAW ONIONS!!!!!!!!! I didnāt realize there was a difference, I donāt think I have ever had homegrown onions.
If i grow onions i can eat them raw like like a apple
Store bought nope, i still eat them but it isnt the same.
@Squawkers@skwawkers - you're in TX. I think i have a site that has only onions based out of TX. Need to look it up.
Thanx! Fixed it!!
