Attacked by a cat 2 days ago. Bitten right on her hock/"knee". There is a small puncture hole and the whole area is blue and bruised. Been cleaning daily. She puts NO weight on it and uses her wing as a crutch to get around. She is confined to a small area, to limit the use of the leg, with food and water with diluded asprin. Today I noticed these green bubbles between her toes. What else can I do?

Welcome To BYC :frow

Can you post some photos of the hock/knee where she was bitten?
Did she get bit on the foot as well?

Green can be an indication of bruising in chickens, but the bubbles are concerning - those are "new" correct? She doesn't have signs of bumblefoot on the bottom of the toes or footpad?

You don't have your location in your profile - what is your weather like (are you in the US in cold temps)? Any possibility the foot suffered Frostbite and is coincidental to being bitten?

How is the joint healing up? Any swelling, discoloration, heat, pus/oozing, etc.?

It probably would be a good idea to administer antibiotics. Again, it depends on where you live, you may be able to get something locally, if not, ordering online would be what you need to do. Some Tractor Supply stores carry Fish Mox (Amoxicillin). This is what I would use for wounds/bites. Dosage is 57mg per pound of weight given orally 2 times a day for 7 days. Seeking vet care, if possible, is usually best, but sometimes that's not possible.

I would soak the foot in betadine or chlorhexidine to clean it well. Inspect it carefully - see if there's any bites/wounds there or if there's swelling underneath too. Dry the foot and gently apply triple antibiotic ointment or Vetericyn. Keep her on clean dry bedding.

If she can't bear weight, that may be from the joint too, but she may benefit from being placed in a sling for short monitored periods of time. This helps get her upright, she is not sitting on the injured joint and it may help keep her cleaner too.

There's plenty of examples of slings if you google images, but I'll post one below.
Let us know how she's doing.

The sling looks great im definently doing that and heading to TSC for the antibiotics. I will post more photos after our next wash session. Thank you!
