I have been in denial LOL, shockingly it was a yellow chick!Splotchy coloring and pink comb says king, sorry
So interesting! Yes this one was yellow with markings. So sad because I have 9 that were all supposed to be ladies, one is for sure a roo. Then I was suspecting this and two others are as wellYes, definitely a cockerel. These are salmon Faverolles mixes with blue egg layers, so the fact that the chick was yellow doesn't surprise me. Salmon Faverolles are dominant wheaten, and wheatens have yellow chicks with some small markings, sometimes.
Yeah, that is a bummer. Were they sold as sexed pullets by a store or hatchery? You may be able to get a refund, but you'll still have to decide what to do with the males. So interesting! Sexed from a hatchery- they said I could get a refund but I have to wait 7 more weeks to report it. You can see the one that I know is a roo in the background of the first pic LOL. I wish I could get a reshipment instead and not have to pay shipping.. that would be niceYeah, that is a bummer. Were they sold as sexed pullets by a store or hatchery? That would be nice! And if they paid you for the time you put into re-homing, if that's what you're going to do.Sexed from a hatchery- they said I could get a refund but I have to wait 7 more weeks to report it.
