Or maybe have a helper who can gather it up while you are blowing.
I happen to have a 6 year old that will be very eager to help for about 5 minutes, lol
While she's definitely not my first sheltie, she may have the thickest coat I've yet dealt with. A furnado plan is certainly in order. I think my porch is probably the best option, I'll just have to choose a day with no wind... I really don't want butt fuzz decorating my entire yard.

Here's the little lady:

I usually end up brushing in short sessions for a few days after a bath to get the rest of the loosened undercoat out.

Sometimes i do pick it up. But within 2 hours the sparrows have done the job and there isnt fur anywhere. But if you dont have sparrows. Could you just shop vac the fur then just throw it?
Yeah, that would be the plan. I usually put a little out in spring in the trees for the birds anyway but when big clumps escape close to the house they get overlooked by the birds and then after a rain it just gets gross.

Question about brushes. So i see people using a equigroomer and Sleekez brushes. Will the blades cut and take out the undercoat?

Denver is shedding like crazy and i need a different brush as her fur is thinner
