I live in Central Kansas part of the year.
I am new to chickens, I picked up 28 at the beginning of last winter.
I currently have 23 adults, 15 chicks (mostly mixed, pure are BJG), and 5 ducks have hatched so far, should be more in next 12 hours
Black Jersey Giant, Buff Brahma, Sapphire Gem, Americana, Speckled Sussex and Golden Commet
I like to have them for pest control.
I dont have any other hobbies, I try to better this piece of property I have every day
I am Old, Married, Children, 6 dogs, 4 cats, have 12 Whiting True Blue eggs on the way and 24 chicken eggs in incubator.

I had 27 chickens, three dogs and three cats at one point on less than an acre in the middle of the city. It’s a lot of work and a lot of fun!
