GUINEA FOWL THREAD

I have bad news the hatchery I am going to use requires you to order at least 15 guineas which is just way to much for me so I will not be able to order them I will have to get ducks instead but oh well. I'm sorry for wasting your time.

If you don't want all 15 just sell the extras as soon as you get them. Most hatcheries require 25 because of how small they are.

Ya but I'm just starting out and I don't really have the funds to buy that many and the other birds I was interested in getting so I think I will be getting a couple ducks instead.

You might try looking at your local farm supply store like Tractor Supply. Most of them will carry Guinea keets at some point during the year. The one in my area only carries them in the fall but you might try calling around and asking if there are any plans to get any.

What is a good price for a 3 month old Guinea I am selling some and have no idea what to charge. Thanks

It depends on where you live and supply and demand in your area. You might look on Craigslist or your local classifieds to see if there are any for sale in your area and what they are selling for. I live in Iowa and they are selling for about $5 each in my area.

It does depend on local area supply and demand. I get $5 and up depending on color for day old keets here. If they last 2 weeks I raise the price every 2 weeks.
