Hackle feathers?

Here's another newbie question . . . do only cockerels have hackle feathers? I noticed when a couple if my chicks get into a scuffle some have raised hackles (neck feathers, I think that's the term) and others get fully fluffed up. I'm assuming the ones that raise their hackles are cockerels and the fully fluffed up ones are pullets. Is that correct thinking? They will be 5 weeks on Monday. I have a video, but it needs some editing before I post it.

Oh thank God! I was worried the gender ratio swung in the wrong direction.
