One of my Girls has been laying ocassional runny poops that have very thin “hair-like” white strands in them (see photo). The white strands are NOT moving around... so hopefully they’re not worms. Here’s a closeup photo. Is this something to be concerned about? Thank you for any feedback!

The white is urates.
How old is she?
Is she acting normal, active, eating/drinking? If she is of laying age, no problems laying?
What is your weather like?

It's never a bad idea to get a fecal float to check for worms.
You can also check to make sure her crop is empty in the morning, look her over for lice/mites. If you've had hot weather she may be drinking a bit more than usual too.

Thanks Wyorp Rock. The white urates from my other 5 hens look very different (more solid, more normal-looking) than these stringy, white, hair-like strands. It's puzzling to me. I hope you're correct and that's all they are (urates). The weather has been hot, and lately they're eating more fruit that has fallen to the ground. Somehow they still manage to get to them before I can remove them. ;-)

I'm planning to get a fecal float test as well.
