Has anyone ever got chicks from “The Chick Hatchery”?

According to their website, they are what's called a 'drop shipper', I think. At least what they do is take orders that are filled by various other parties (breeders) and shipped from those folks.
I've had very nice chickens from Cackle and Murray McMurray over several shipments each, and over many years.
If you are looking for show quality birds, contact breeders through the specific breed club websites. If you want healthy chicks that won't bring Marek's disease, for example, stick with good hatcheries with good reputations, not local backyard breeders, who might be fine, or not.

Okie dokie, thank you for your advice:)

I ordered from them last August. Ordered 15 received 19. 2 were lost while in transit. Got some Speckled Sussex, RIR, GLW, EE and even though im a chicken newbie I cant tell from comparing mines to other pics posted here and there that what I received is good quality. Just this week i received and order for my dad and lost half of the shipment upon arrival. (Chicks were weak) im thinking it was still too cold. All the tiny ones died. The rest are doing great. They quickly refunded me $ right after the 24hrs had passed since receiving the chicks. Ordered 18 received 20.

I recommend Cackle Hatchery. From what I read, The Chick Hatchery mails chicks from all over the place not one centralized location. But if they’re cheaper and have the variety you’re looking for then I would understand why someone would use them. I only get basic breeds and I like the Cackle Hatchery’s quality (but I also have zero experience on other hatcheries since I’ve bought most of my chickens from Tractor Supply)
