Hi all! I got 5 hatchery choice pullets in my order from Ideal yesterday and I've got one figured out-a silver laced wyandotte-but I'm just guessing on 4 of them. I'm hoping I can get some help confirming breeds! Thanks everyone!
Here's #1, best guess is an ideal 236 or leghorn? It looks like it's going to have a big single comb
#2 a black star? Single comb, dark legs and the bottom of her feet almost look greenish so maybe eventually yellow underneath?
#3 Cuckoo Maran? The feet look light/pink under the dark spots, I'm not sure how well it's showing in the pics. Definitely not yellow that's why I'm guessing maran
And here's #4 I'm guessing black star again, it looks almost identical to #2
Just a side note... this was my first order from Ideal, I got bantams (black frizzle cochins) and standards (light brahmas, Russian orloffs, sultans, turkens, and blue cochins plus these hatchery choice) and I am so pleased with my experience with them! 3 days in the mail and all were alive and kicking when I picked them up! The chicks actually look like I was expecting,(some cochins and brahmas I recently got from Hoover's were pretty disappointing as far as size and fluff) and the customer service was beyond patient with me changing my order around, they were great! I'll definitely be ordering from them again!
