Have hear peafowl breeders from the southern States, say peafowl eggs hatch in 26 days. Mine normal are 28 days.

Well this year spring we have had alot of day of temps. near 90..well eggs hatching early. set this batch 5/26/10 two have hatched and alot are pipped....day 26

Strange thing i gather eggs and stored in a cool basement. even had one hatch under a broody hen, egg i missed when switching eggs out. yep marked 5/26/10

My two hatches so far have hatched at day 27. Chickens, ducks and geese are right on schedule so I know the bator is not running too hot. And I am certainly not in the south:)

It is now 26 days since setting.

10 shipped eggs. All made it to lockdown!!

First is out and looks white rather than BS. Second is emerging from shell. It is wet, but looks too light to be IB. Third has just pipped.
Maybe I should wait till they have actually hatched before deciding on colors, but this is too exciting!!! To loosely quote Forest Gump: it is like a a box of chocolates, you never quite know what you are going to get....

Update day 27

6 out 2 pipped. 2 no movement
1 white, 1 BS 4 sort of IBish??
