BTW, in case it wasn't clear, I was using kraftyladies as an example precisely because despite having gotten a bit behind she has been absolutely stellar about letting people know what's going on. In other words she was the "best" example I could think of

Just to clarify!

Morning all.

Today we are moving the duck goose house out into the garden so they can get back to work on weeding and bug eating. It's the only reason I have the mucky mucks. Then we plan to get the other half of the garden seeded. Plants are almost all in. We are really late on planting this year, but the weather wasn't in our favor. The raspberries have exploded all over the place, so I need to do some major thinning. The dandelions have destroyed some of one strawberry bed, but its due to be replanted this fall any way so not really a big deal. Strawberry season will be upon us reall soon, so it's time to start penning the turkeys. I hate it. They hate it, but our customers don't like turkeys stealing strawberries out of their baskets. They are cute with strawberry lipstick beaks though. I may have to trim some wings to prevent them from topping the fence though, and I really hate that idea. I'll leave the Broodies on their eggs and not pen them as they won't be leaving their nest boxes for much.

Speaking of broodies I need to find two more cages for them. If all goes well we should have mommas and babies running amok in a month. With all the turkeys we are raising this year it should be quite challenging to come up with enough names, but I'm sure the kid will figure out something. We are looking forward to having our whole farm covered in little midgets that love us though. Yesterday my son was running Dow to the pasture to chase Sammy, Khaki Campbell, and his girls up to their coop and the turkeys went running after him. They love to stretch their legs and chase things. It's so fun to watch. Especially when Helen the Felon, RIR, come up to eat out of the garden. We encourage the jakes to chase her and then it's wave after wave of turkeys taking off. I still believe its running with the midgets that keeps my fat girl Eva so healthy. And yeah for Eva, she's back to laying an egg a day. She will be 2 1/2 soon, so that's amazing for a Broad Breasted White. Hubby still thinks I'm waiting all that breast meat not eating her, but she's my girlie.

Oh crud I hear something hatching and I have nothing in lockdown yet. Should be a good hatch I guess.

Closed for clean up and review. Please be patient and do not start another thread. This is a holiday weekend, so it might be a day or so before we can get to it.

And I won't be answering PMs.
